The Johnson Controls MS-IOM3721-0 Input/Output Module offers a comprehensive set of technical specifications to meet the demands of industrial automation applications. It operates on a power supply requirement of 24 VAC (nominal) with a power consumption of a maximum of 14 VA. The module is designed to withstand ambient operating conditions ranging from 0°C to 50°C. For addressing, the module utilizes a DIP switch set with valid controller device addresses ranging from 4 to 127. It supports BACnet MS/TP communications via the RS-485 bus, including a 3-wire FC Bus between supervisory controllers and a 4-wire SA bus between expansion modules and network sensors. The processor used in the module is the H8SX/166xR Renesas 32-bit microcontroller, providing reliable and efficient performance. With a memory capacity of 640 KB Flash Memory and 128 KB Random Access Memory (RAM), the MS-IOM3721-0 can store and process data effectively. The module offers 16 binary inputs, which can be defined as dry contact maintained or pulse counter/accumulator mode. Terminations are facilitated through fixed screw terminal blocks for input connections and pluggable screw terminal blocks for SA/FC Bus and supply power. The module can be mounted horizontally on a single 35 mm DIN rail or screw-mounted on a flat surface using the integral mounting clips. The housing of the module is made of ABS and polycarbonate material, rated as self-extinguishing and plenum-rated (UL94 5VB). It has a protection class of IP20 (IEC529) to ensure proper insulation and safety. The dimensions of the module are 150x164x53 mm, including terminals and mounting clips. The weight of the module is 0.5 kg.
