Johnson Controls developed MS-IOM3711-0 is an input/output control module (IOM) that is primarily utilized as a field controller within the Metasys system. The MS-IOM3711-0 contains 12 I/O points, which are divided into four universal inputs (UI), four universal outputs (UO), and four binary outputs (BO). The UI points can be set to monitor a wide range of analog and digital signals, such as voltage, current, temperature, and contact closure. The UO points can be programmed to operate a wide range of analog and digital outputs, such as relays, solenoids, and valve actuators. The BO points can be set to provide module or linked equipment status information. This module offers a mix of analog and digital inputs and outputs that accept signals from sensors, switches, and other devices, as well as control actuators like valves, dampers, and relays. It supports a variety of communication protocols, allowing integration with other building automation network devices and systems. This is modular and extendable, enabling future system expansion or adjustments. It can be linked to more IOM modules or other Metasys controllers to accommodate larger or more complex applications. It can be programmed and configured using software, which provides a user-friendly interface for building automation system setup, commissioning, and continuing management. It is a DIN-rail mountable module, including the connections and mounting clips. It needs an extra 50 millimeters of room on the top, bottom, and front of the controller to make removing the cover easily, letting air in, and connecting the wires. Overall, this I/O control module is a versatile component that allows for integrating, controlling, and monitoring numerous building systems for increased energy efficiency, comfort, and operational performance.
