The DX-9100-8996 Cabinet Door Mounting Frame by Johnson Controls is a versatile solution designed to simplify the installation of the Version 2 or 3 DX controller. This mounting frame offers convenience and accessibility by allowing the controller to be securely mounted on a cabinet door. Its installation process begins by removing the controller if it has already been installed. The front panel flap is opened, Screw C is released, and the controller is slid out of the frame. Once the controller is safely removed, a panel cutout is made on the cabinet door according to the dimensions. It is important to note that the frame can be mounted on panels ranging from 2 to 10 mm thick. After the cutout is made, the frame is slid into the opening and secured using the provided screw bracket assemblies. Wiring terminations are conveniently made via the terminal blocks located at the back of the frame, which accept 1 x 1.5 mm2 (16 AWG) cables. Before finalizing the installation, verifying the correct wiring connections and ensuring that the voltage levels are appropriate for the various input signals based on the specific application requirements is crucial. The jumpers and address switches at the back of the controller should be set accordingly. Once the necessary settings are in place, the controller is inserted into the frame until the lugs on the left-hand side of the frame engage securely with the controller. The front panel flap is closed, and the controller is firmly secured to the frame by tightening Screw C.
