Johnson Controls engineered XP-9103-8304 extension module is part of the XP family of devices, and it has eight (8) inputs and outputs ports, including digital inputs, analog inputs, digital outputs, analog outputs, and relay outputs. These can connect sensors, actuators, controllers, and other devices to the building automation system, enabling the monitoring, control, and automation of various building systems such as HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), lighting, security, and others. The XP series modules are simple to install and configure; its N2 bus or the Modbus RTU protocol can be used to connect them to the Metasys control system. This XP-9103-8304 XP ranges expansion module provides eight digital outputs for the Metasys building automation system. Each digital output channel inside the building automation system can be separately programmed and customized to perform certain purposes. This module is intended to provide additional digital output capabilities to the system to which it is linked. This module can be used to control a wide range of devices, including lights, valves, and motors. The module includes a relay driver and may be programmed to output various signals such as ON/OFF, open/close, and pulse. This unit also can be designed and programmed to execute certain building automation system functions. It is powered by 24 volts AC at 50/60 hertz and is enclosed in an IP20-certified shell. It has an operating temperature range of 0 to 40 degrees centigrade with a non-condensing relative humidity of 10 to 90%. It is UL, CSA, and CE certified. Overall, it is an excellent choice for applications requiring a dependable and simple-to-use digital extension module.
