Johnson Controls' AS-VAV100-0 VAV Variable Air Volume Controller is a cutting-edge electronic gadget created for accurate digital management of many VAV box designs, including single duct, twin duct, fan-powered, and supply/exhaust systems. This controller may be utilized as a stand-alone device or seamlessly connected to the Metasys network, providing extensive point and control information sharing throughout the network. Through an N2 Bus interface, devices communicate with one another. Six analog and four binary inputs are available on the VAV controller, giving users versatility for collecting data from various sensors and gadgets. It lacks analog outputs but offers zero or two 0-10 VDC analog outputs with a maximum current rating of 10 milliamperes. The controller also has eight or six binary outputs that use 24 VAC triacs with a 0.5-ampere rating. While the zone bus connections may be established using either the 8-pin phone connector on the controller or the 6-pin phone jack at the zone sensor, the N2 Bus interface is not isolated. Quick-connect spade lugs are used for power and I/O terminations, while a fixed screw terminal block is used for N2 terminations. The recommended ambient temperature range and relative humidity range for the VAV controller are 32 to 122°F (0 to 50°C) and 10 to 90%, respectively. It has an 11 MHz 80C652 CPU, an 8-bit word size, an 8k EEPROM size (2k for VAV 100/101), a 64k ROM/EPROM size, and an 8k RAM capacity. The N2 Bus and Zone Bus are the interfaces that this controller supports. The AS-VAV100-0 VAV Variable Air Volume Controller is a crucial part of effective HVAC control and environmental management systems because of its extensive features and dependable performance.
