The AP-VMA1420 modular variable air volume assembly is a component of the VMA1400 series manufactured by Johnson Controls; it includes a controller, a pressure sensor device, and/or actuator-type tools. The variable air volume (VAV) modular assembly consists of various components controlling airflow in a building's HVAC system. These components typically include dampers, actuators, sensors, and a control module. This AP-VMA1420 was designed to offer both cooling and reheating capabilities; its ambient operating temperatures should be between 0 and 50 degrees Celsius, with non-condensing relative humidity levels between 10 and 95 percent. Furthermore, the advised ambient storing temperature is between -40 and 70 degrees Celsius. The AP-VMA1420 incorporates an integrated actuator with a stepper-class motor drive system. Although intended for pressure-independent solitary duct systems, this module can also be employed in series or parallel supporter boxes, supply/exhaust activities, and dual duct designs. This variable air volume component incorporates a quick response actuator that drives the damper from entirely open to fully closed (90°) in 30 seconds for speedier commissioning. Furthermore, this VMA is the best alternative for variable air volume (VAV) systems due to its unique qualities that shorten installation and activation time while improving performance. It also has sophisticated diagnostics for detecting and correcting system deviations in flow, damper travel, and energy, as well as RS-485 serial connections and N2 networking capabilities for incorporating itself as a component of a facility control system with an NCM or N30 series supervisory controller. This module has been certified following CE and CSA requirements.
