The AP-VMA1420-0 is a VAV Modular Assembly (VMA). This device is designed to efficiently and precisely control variable air volume systems. It has been made by Johnson Controls for use in industrial and automation settings. It operates at a supply voltage of 20-30 Volts AC at 50 or 60 Hz, consuming a maximum power of 10 Volt/ Ampere (relay and valve requirements not included). The unit offers an optional 24 Volt AC fuse current, with VMA1410 at 0.6 ampere and VMA1420 at 2.0 Ampere. And it can function within ambient operating conditions ranging from 0 to 50°C (32 to 122°F) and ambient storage conditions of (-)40 to 70°C (-40 to 158°F). The terminations use 6.3 mm (1/4 in.) spade lugs, except for communications, which utilize screw terminals. Optional accessories include 2 or 3-position screw terminals that can be plugged into the spade lugs, with specific part numbers for each configuration. The VMA controller communicates via the N2 Bus with the supervisory controller, with the controller addressing set through a DIP switch. The AP-VMA1420-0 mounts to the damper shaft using a single set screw and to the duct with a single mounting screw. It features an actuator rating of 4 N⋅m (35 lb⋅in) minimum and requires a minimum shaft length of 44 mm (1 3/4 in.). Note: There are two screw terminals: AP-TBK1002-0 (2-position) and AP-TBK1003-0 (3-position).
