Technical Information

The HE693PIDNET keyboard interface is a product manufactured by Horner Electric with integrated functionalities consisting of 32, 16, 8, and 1 MB RAM packages. As part of the Series 693 product line, this keyboard interface is a PS/2 style device. It is enabled with the RS-232 standard protocol that is necessary for serial communication since it receives the voltage for the part that is used for data communication. At the RS-485 port (a 15-pin, SNP port), which is noise-sensitive, the signal intensity is reduced so that nodes can communicate with each other without the twisted pair cable used by the EIA in standard communication protocols. This device also has an integrated FPU for the better performance of the IPC with a 486TM DX4 75MHz processor or a 486TM DX4 100 MHz microprocessor. The Flash disk drive that the interface can use has a capacity of 5MB, 10MB, or 20MB.

 

One of the most useful features of the HE693PIDNET keyboard interface comes with the 89C31 dedicated microprocessors that are preinstalled and that are mandatory for Series 90-30 bus communications on the operating systems. The operating temperature range is from -5 to 55 degrees Celsius in an ambient relative humidity range of 8 to 80%, non-condensing. The HE693PIDNET keyboard interface can support 8 PLC racks. The maximum power consumption from the backplane power supply with a 340 MB hard drive varies and it can be 1200 milliamps at 5 Volts DC, 1400 milliamps at 5 Volts DC, 1800 milliamps at 5 Volts DC, and 2200 milliamps at 5 Volts DC. The video resolutions on the HE693PIDNET keyboard interface can be as high as 640 x 480 (VGA).
