The Horner Electric HE660CGM424 Port Device is an I/O port specially designed for interfacing a Genius programmable coprocessor with a GE Fanuc Series 90-30 or Series 90-70 Programmable Logic Controller or PLC. This Genius interface port has been designed by GE Fanuc and manufactured by Horner Automation APG as a GE Fanuc spare part. A PLC with an added Horner Electric HE660CGM424 Port Device will be able to receive a connection from a Programmable Coprocessor Module (PCM) which allows it to perform functions as an operator interface or as a data storage device, to perform real-time calculations, to operate as a data acquisition system, and to perform data communications with other devices. With all of these features, the Horner Electric HE660CGM424 Port Device for the Genius Programmable Coprocessors is a very important addition to any GE Fanuc PLC system.

 

The Horner Electric HE660CGM424 Port Device for the Genius Programmable Coprocessors is very easy to install because it fits into any available slot in the PLC's backplane. It uses the embedded version of the MegaBasic language to communicate through the backplane with the programmable logic controller that it is connected to and to gain access to the user data and system data. When coupled with a Programmable Coprocessor Module (PCM), the Horner Electric HE660CGM424 Port Device will work as the key for opening up all the processing power of the whole PLC. No additional software packages are needed for configuration of the interface between the Series 90-30 or Series 90-70 PLC and the HE660CGM424 Genius Port Device.
