The GE Fanuc Versamax IC200UEX164 expansion module is an I/O expansion module for the Versamax Micro PLC devices. It provides the Micro PLCs with 40 extra inputs and 24 extra outputs.
The IC200UEX164 module from GE Fanuc is a Versamax series expansion unit module. More specifically, the IC200UEX164 expansion module is an expansion unit that is designed for the GE Fanuc Versamax Micro PLC systems that provides 64 additional input and output points to these systems to allow them to control and communicate with a greater number and wider variety of devices than is normally possible. The IC200UEX164 expansion module comes with 40 input channels which are rated for 24 Volts DC voltage and with 24 relay output channels. It needs a 120/240 Volts AC rated power supply in order to operate. It is meant to be used in Versamax Micro PLC systems that use version 4 or later firmware.
The GE Fanuc Versamax IC200UEX164 64-point I/O expansion module does not support input filtering. However, it can be installed up to 2 meters away from its host Micro PLC, and it can work with Micro PLCs that have 20 I/O points, 40 I/O points, or 64 I/O points. Its DC inputs are all configurable and they can all be used as positive or negative logic inputs with devices like push buttons, electronic proximity switches, and limit switches. The 24 Volts DC rated power supply on the Micro PLC that hosts the IC200UEX164 expansion module can power each of the expansion inputs with about 8 milliamps of current each or 435 milliamps of maximum total current. The relay outputs on the IC200UEX164 expansion module can support devices like motor starters, indicators, and solenoids.
