Produced by GE Intelligent Platforms, the IC200SET001 is a serial to Ethernet network adapter module from the VersaMax series of PLC components.
This module is intended to provide an interface between serial and Ethernet devices. With this product, serial devices can be connected to an Ethernet network using the TCP/IP protocol suite. Example devices that can be connected include programmable logic controllers (PLC), computer network controllers (CNC), display units, terminals, and various other instruments.

 

The Ethernet port for this device is a standard RJ-45 and supports 10 megabits per second (10BaseT). This module supports the following serial ports: RS-232, RS-485, and RS-422. This device is configurable via Windows NT, Windows 95, or Windows 98 operating systems, and the programming software can be either VersaPro 2.0 or Proficy Machine Edition Logic Developer.

 

A 10Mhz V.40 central processing unit is used with this product, along with 128 kilobytes of RAM and 128 kilobytes of EPROM. The power source voltage for this module, which is not embedded into the device, can vary between 9 and 30 volts of direct current; however, a 24-volt power supply from the VersaMax 90-30 series can also be used. Note: The power supply’s operational capacity should never be exceeded. The maximum power consumption for the IC200SET001 is measured at 3 watts.

 

The dimensions for the IC200SET001 are as follows: The height is 3.54 inches (90mm), the width is 2.36 inches (60mm), and the depth is 1.42 inches (36mm). Overall weight is about 0.33 pounds (150g).
