The IC200PWR202 is a VersaMax power supply module with extended functionality produced by GE Intelligent Platforms Control Systems Solutions. This power supply provides power to backplane devices such as central processing units, network interface units, and input and output modules. The IC200PWR202 can act as a main source of power or a supplementary source when connected to a power supply booster carrier. The IC200PWR202 stands at 5.25 inches tall (133.4 millimeters). It measures 1.93 inches wide (49 millimeters) and 1.54 inches deep (39 millimeters).
The input voltage for the IC200PWR202 can be anywhere from 9.6 volts to 15 volts of direct current, also referred to as VDC; however, nominal input voltage is 12 VDC. Input power is rated at 11 watts, and the holdup time is 10 milliseconds. There are two options for output voltage: 5 volts DC and 3.3 volts DC. When using 3.3 volts DC output voltage, this device will supply a maximum output current of 1.0 ampere. When using 5 volts DC output voltage, this module will supply up to 1.5 amperes of output current. Note: Total output current should never exceed 1.5 amperes.
When operating at 12 volts DC, the inrush current for the IC200PWR202 will be 25 amperes, and when operating at 15 volts DC, the inrush current will be 30 amperes. For field wiring, the DC- should be grounded to the frame ground and/or earth ground. Because the DC- is grounded to the frame inside the power supply, floating power supplies are not an option. To ensure safe operation of this device, the following protection measures are used: Short circuit protection, overload protection, and reverse voltage polarity protection.
