The IC200MDL743 is a discrete signal output module from the General Electric VersaMax series. This device has 16 output points, and each point can be either negative logic type or sinking type. The output points on this module perform load switching to the negative side of the direct current power source, also known as the return side, and thereby receive current from electrical loads.
The IC200MDL743 will require an external power source for all output load switching. This device has two modes of operation, each with their own voltage requirements. In standard 12/24 voltage direct current (VDC) mode, the output voltage ranges from 10.2 to 30 volts DC, with 12 volts and 24 volts DC being nominal. In 5VDC-TTL (transistor-transistor logic) mode, the output voltage is 4.75 to 5.25 volts DC, with 5 volts DC being nominal.
Each output point on this module can handle half of an ampere of current in 12/24 VDC mode and 25 milliamps of current in 5VDC-TTL mode. When running at 30 volts DC, the output leakage is 0.5 milliamps of current. The on and off response time for each output point is a maximum of 0.2 milliseconds and 1.0 millisecond, respectively.
Thermal derating is not supported for the IC200MDL743. This module also does not have any channel or point isolation, nor does it provide protection measures such as internal fuses. All processing for the 32 bits of discrete output information is handled by either the central processing unit (CPU) or the network interface unit (NIU).
The IC200MDL743 is 4.3 inches wide, 2.63 inches tall, and 1.956 inches deep. Note: Carrier height and mating connectors are not included in these specifications.
