Product Description

Made by General Electric Fanuc, the VersaMax IC200MDL742 is a discrete output module with a total of 32 output points.
These discrete output points are divided into two groups of 16, each of which is capable of load switching and providing load current. All output points for this module are positive logic types.

This product draws power from a secondary supply. When connected to a 5V output backplane, this module will consume a maximum of 150 milliamps of current. This module has a flexible operating voltage, ranging anywhere from 18 to 30 volts of direct current (DC). The nominal operating voltage, however, is 24 volts DC. The output voltage drop for this product is rated at a maximum of 0.5 volts, and when operating at 30 volts DC, the output point leakage is 0.5 milliamps.

Response time for each output point’s “on” and “off” state is standard at 0.5 milliseconds. The resistive load current per point is 0.5 amperes at 30 volts DC and 2.0 amperes for 100 milliseconds at maximum inrush. Additionally, this module has several protection options for each output, including electronic short circuit protection, free-wheeling diodes, and overcurrent protection. Each output point is also mapped to a status LED, and onboard diagnostics report the status of any overloaded points.

This module does not support channel to channel isolation, nor does it provide point to point isolation; however, the IC200MDL742 does support group to group isolation continuously at 250 volts alternating current (AC) and for up to one minute at 1500 volts AC. Thermal derating is also supported under certain conditions.
