Product Description

The IC200MDL741 is a VersaMax output module from GE Automation and Controls.
This device has a single grouping of 16 discrete signal output points, which can be one of two types: sourcing type or positive logic type. These output points are responsible for switching and supplying current to each load.

A separate 5V power supply is necessary for this module to function, and the amount of current drawn from the external power source is at most 75 milliamps. The external power supply must be able to provide enough field power to this module in the event of a short circuit. Otherwise, field power will drop below specified parameters and this module will not perform correctly.

While the IC200MDL741 has an optimal operational voltage of 24 volts of direct current, it can also function within the range of 18 to 30 volts of direct current. Resistive load current at 30 volts DC is 0.5 amps, and the 100-millisecond inrush current is a maximum of 2.0 amps. Output leakage is rated at 0.5 milliamps.

The IC200MDL741 has several protection measures in place, including Electronic Short Circuit Protection (ESCP), overcurrent protection, and free-wheeling diodes for each output point. The steady state overcurrent tripping point has a maximum range of 0.7 amps to 2.5 amps. In addition, this module does not support individually isolated channels.

The on and off response time for this device is at most 0.5 milliseconds. Thermal derating is also supported, and the number of output points that can be simultaneously active depends on specific conditions such as environment and voltage.
