Product Description

The IC200MDD849 is a VersaMax PLC series discrete mixed I/O module produced by GE Fanuc Automation.
A combined total of 16 I/O points are embedded into this device—eight sourcing or positive logic type inputs which transfer current from attached devices to the common and eight relay outputs. Output relay types are Form A with a moving armature and silver contacts. Each input point is linked to a ground return. All output points for this device are individually isolated on their own channel. Each output point can handle up to 2 amperes of current. Protection methods such as snubbers, metal oxide varistors, and fuses are not supported by the IC200MDD849.

Main power for the IC200MDD849 comes from a 5V backplane, and each additional input and output point that is active draws more power from the backplane, up to a maximum of 295 milliamps. Note: Thermal derating is not supported by the IC200MDD849. Input voltage for this device is 0 to 132 volts of alternating current (AC) in the 47 to 63Hz range, with 120 volts being nominal. Input “on” state and “off” state voltage ranges from 70 to 132 volts AC and 0 to 20 volts AC, respectively. The input “on” state current is a minimum of 5 milliamps, and the “off” state current is a maximum of 2.5 milliamps.

The output voltage of the IC200MDD849 ranges from 0 to 125 volts of direct current (DC), with 5, 24, and 125 being nominal. When using AC, the output voltage ranges from 0 to 265 volts, with 120 and 240 volts AC being nominal. At most, the output voltage drop will be 0.3 volts. As the output points are open contact, leakage current does not apply to this device. Reactive input impedance for this device at 60Hz is 8.6 kOhms and 10.32 kOhms at 50Hz.
