Product Description
The IC200MDD846 is a VersaMax mixed module manufactured by GE Automation and Controls. This product improves flexibility by combining discrete input points and discrete output points into one module. Note: An IC200CHSxxx carrier base will be required for this module to function.
This module has one group of eight input points, which draw electric current from connected input devices and send it to a common line, and one group of eight output points, which can handle a current load of up to 2 amperes. All input points for this module can be either sourcing-type or positive logic type. All output points for this device are Form A relays with a fixed coil, a moving armature, and a silver contact. Each output point is also isolated. Each input and output point correspond to an LED light, which displays the point’s on and off status, and an “OK” LED indicates the presence of the backplane power supply.
A central processing unit (CPU) or network interface unit (NIU) is necessary to perform intelligent processing for this device. This module is capable of sending and receiving eight bits of discrete input and output data. This product does not support thermal derating.
All required power for the IC200MDD846 is drawn from the backplane mounted to the rack. This device consumes a maximum of 300 milliamps of current from the power supply. Nominal input voltage is 120 volts of alternating current. Nominal output voltage is 5, 24, and 125 volts of direct current and 120 and 240 volts of alternating current. Output voltage drop is 0.3 volts.
