Manufactured by GE Fanuc Automation, the IC200MDD843 is a discrete mixed module which combines both input and output points into one product. This discrete mixed module supports a total of 16 inputs and outputs. These input and output points are distributed across two groups. The first group consists of 10 input points, while the second group is composed of six relay output points. All input points for this device are either positive logic or sourcing-type. The output points are capable of handling a maximum of eight amperes.
The IC200MDD843 draws power primarily from the rack-mounted backplane, but any additional load will require a secondary power source. The amount of power that this device draws from the backplane will increase as the number of active input and output points increase, up to a maximum of 190 milliamps.
The IC200MDD843 does not support protection measures such as internal fuses or snubbers, and it also lacks channel-to-channel isolation. Other features of this device include silver alloy contacts, a switching frequency of 20 cycles every minute with an inductive load, a maximum response speed of 10 milliseconds, and a fixed coil relay type with a moving armature.
The IC200MDD843 is 1.956 inches deep (50mm), 2.63 inches tall (66.8mm), and 4.3 inches wide (110mm). Height of the carrier and all mating connectors are not factored into these physical specifications. For field wiring, this device has 18 type A terminals. Additional type B terminals can be made accessible via a shorting bar.
