Product Description


The IC200GBI001 is a Genius Network Interface Unit produced by GE Fanuc as part of the VersaMax series.
This device performs control functions for the various connected input and output modules. Assuming the proper firmware version is installed, this network interface unit is compatible with various modules including Series 90-70 programmable logic controllers, Genius Bus Controllers, and PacSystems RX7i and Rx3i programmable logic controllers. Additionally, any computer with the ability to control the bus can be designated as the host computer.

 

For every rack, this network interface unit can support eight modules, and a total of eight racks are supported. The amount of network inputs for every bus scan is 128 bytes. The total amount of discrete input and output memory is 1024 points. Analog input and output memory is 128 bytes each. There are two power settings for this unit: 5 volts at 250 milliamps and 3.3 volts at 10 milliamps. This device has a serial bus address range of 0 – 31. Data transfer rates across the network are 153.6 Kbaud extended, 153.6 Kbaud standard, 76.8 Kbaud, or 38.4Kbaud. Note: Transfer rates vary based on distance and number of supported devices.

 

Other features of the IC200GBI001 include 64 analog input and output, removable connectors, the ability to use both shielded twisted pair (STP) and fiber optic cables, and user diagnostic data via the Enhanced Diagnostics Mode (EDM). In addition, this unit offers redundancy for both media and hardware.

 

Not including the power supply installed onto this device, the width of this module is 5.25 inches (133.4 millimeters), and the height is 3.38 inches (85.9 millimeters).
