Product Description

The IC200ERM002 is a non-isolated expansion receiver module made by GE Automation and Controls.
As an expansion module, this device is used to extend the functionality of a VersaMax programmable logic controller or an input and output station as well as increase the number of connected modules. This expansion module supports a maximum of seven groups with up to eight modules per group.

This module is 2.63 inches (66.8 millimeters) wide and 5.04 inches (128 millimeters) tall; however, this does not include the dimensions of the power supply. To provide power to any connected modules, a power supply is installed on this product. Note: If a power booster carrier or additional power supply is used, it has to be connected to the main power supply on this expansion module. Three on-board LED lights indicate device status.

The IC200ERM002 can be used in both multi-rack or single-ended VersaMax input and output expansion systems. If this expansion module is used in a multi-rack implementation, the maximum cable length cannot exceed 15 meters or approximately 50 feet. If this product is used in a single-ended implementation with only one expansion rack, the cable length cannot exceed one meter or approximately 3.3 feet. Data transfer rates are either 5 megabits per second or 2.765 megabits per second, depending on implementation.

The IC200ERM002 has two 26-pin female D-shell expansion ports. The top port is used for an inbound expansion cable, and the bottom port is used to either daisy chain the next expansion rack or connect to the terminator plug. This product also has two options for backplane current: 5 volts or 3.3 volts. For 5V backplanes, the current consumption is 70 milliamps. For 3.3V backplanes, the current consumption is 20 milliamps.
