Product Description
The IC200EBI001 is an Ethernet Network Interface Unit (ENIU) classified as an Ethernet slave module, which serves as a controller for a set of I/O modules. The IC200EBI001 is designed by GE for the Versamax series. The power supply that is needed for the module’s operation is installed directly on the NIU. There are five LEDs that indicate status of the IC200EBI001 and its components.
Installation of the IC200EBI001 on the DIN rail is easy. The user only needs to click the unit into place. When installing power for the NIU, the latch must be in unlocked position, and all connectors and the latch post must be aligned. Once the power supply module is pressed and the two tabs click into place, the latch must be in locked position for security of the power supply.
The IC200EBI001 ENIU can be autoconfigured, or configurations may be stored via programming software. When power is initiated for the first time, the modules will be autoconfigured by the ENIU in the I/O station. Autoconfiguration will cease at the first empty slot or if the module is faulted. If autoconfiguration fails, it is important to clear existing configuration. This process is done by disconnecting power from the ENIU and disconnecting the ENIU from the first I/O carrier.

It operates as an Ethernet Global Data station that is used for providing I/O and diagnostics data within the Ethernet network. Its memory space supports 256 bytes of discrete input data, discrete output data, analog input data, and analog output data. The total number of NIU modules that can be installed in a station is 64. When this module is used with an expansion unit, it can handle up to 64 I/O modules. It has an indicator LED to show the status and the presence of the power of the module. The address of the module can be configured by using 3 rotary switches which are located beneath a transparent protective door. It has an RJ-45 Ethernet port, an expansion connector, a power supply connector, a carrier connector, a DIN-rail latch, and panel mounting holes. The Modbus/TCP protocol is supported by this IC200EBI001 module. It can have up to 10 Modbus TCP connections when it is used in the Modbus mode. It can be installed on a 35 x 7.5 millimeters conductive DIN-rail. It can be connected to the Ethernet network by using an unshielded RJ-45 connector. It supports both the VersaPro 2.0 and Remote I/O manager 2.0 configuration software.
