Product Description


The IC200CPU005 is a CPU designed by GE for the Versamax series. The IC200CPU005 features two serial ports and possesses 64 KB of configurable memory. The IC200CPU005 can be auto-configured or configured manually using software.

The IC200CPU005 supports 64 modules with a range up to 2048 I/O points. The CPU is designed with a RUN/STOP switch and features floating point data functions. The backplane of the IC200CPU005 has a current consumption of 5V output: 35mA without a serial port converter or EZ Program Store device and an output of 5V: 135mA with a serial port converter or EZ Program Store device.

When installing the IC200CPU005 on the DIN rail, the CPU along with connectors must be installed on the same section of 35mm x 7.5mm DIN rail. The finish on the rail should not be painted and must be grounded for EMC protection. When installing the DIN rail, screws should be spaced approximately 6 inches apart for stability. The IC200CPU005 snaps onto the DIN rail with ease, and no tools are needed for mounting or grounding to the DIN rail. 

Shipment of the IC200CPU005 includes a battery already installed. The battery must be activated before initial use by pulling and removing the insulator tab. When replacing the battery, a small screwdriver is needed. Note: Use of an incorrect battery type may lead to fire or explosion.
