Product Description

IC200CHS014 is an I/O Interposing Box-Style Thermocouple Cold Junction Compensation manufactured by GE Fanuc for its Versamax series.
The IC200CHS014 acts as an interface and comes with a connector used to attach a cable from the connector-style I/O carrier and 36 box-style terminals. The IC200CHS014 offers local cold junction compensation for thermocouple input measurements.

The IC200CHS014 has a clear protective hinged door that covers the wiring terminals. Each I/O module in this unit is provided with a board that can be folded and inserted in this door.

There are two ways of mounting IC200CHS014. It can be mounted on the same DIN rail as the Connector-Style I/O Carrier or mounted on a separate DIN rail. Either way requires maximum resistance to mechanical vibration and shock; therefore the unit must also be panel mounted.  The DIN rail should be installed on a panel using screws spaced approximately 6 inches (5.24 cm) apart.

It is advisable to install DIN-rail clamps on both ends of the station to help lock the IC200CHS014 into the correct position. The recommended clamp for this unit is catalogued as IC200ACC313. The DIN rail used in this case must be electrically grounded to provide EMC protection.
