Product Description

IC200ALG261 is an 8 Channel, 15 Bit Input Module from the GE Fanuc Versamax Series
. This analog input module offers an interface to eight differential voltage inputs with power supplied from a backplane power supply. The unique aspect of this module is that no external power source is needed for operation; however, power for the user transceivers must have an external source. Otherwise, the module features one group of eight differential input channels with 15 bit converter resolution and software configurable selection.

Specific characteristics of the IC200ALG261 include 250 VAC continuous input logic, LED indicators, and 5V output with a 200mA maximum on the backplane current consumption. Diagnostics will alert the user to loss of internal power; however, if severe RF interference occurs, accuracy may be degraded to +/- 1 percent.

Prior to installation, all equipment should be carefully checked for damage. If damage is found, replace the system for proper functioning. Upon installation, if the hot insertion of the module is completed improperly, operation of the other modules on that backplane can be disrupted. Shielded twisted cable is recommended for the analog channel connections and if possible, the cable should be grounded at the source device. If the source device is not an option for grounding, then the I/O module must be used for grounding. An auxiliary I/O terminal strip can be added to the interposing terminal if added shield connections are needed. The IC200ALG261 is compatible with numerous firmware versions that include PLC CPU version 2.1 or later and Ethernet NIU EBI001 version 1.10 or later.
