The IC200UDR228 PLC module is a GE Fanuc VersaMax micro PLC with 28 I/O points. It runs with a voltage source rated at  24 Volts DC that powers both the inputs and outputs. It is designed with a total of 16 inputs and 12 outputs along with 1 relay output. The PLC module is equipped with a battery that is used as a backup for data retention. The current rating of this PLC module is 2 Amps. The PLC module comes with an instruction set that enhances the available programming options. The IC200UDR228 PLC module is powered with a current rating of 140 milliamps. It supports up to 4 expansion units at a time. It is able to process 9K logic memory words and 2K data storage words. It can scan through instructions in a time frame of 1.1 milliseconds. 

 

The IC200UDR228 PLC module and the whole PLC system is used to connect with different field devices in an industrial setting. A real-time clock is present in the PLC module that is used for date and time functions. This real-time clock also timestamps different events for future reference. For Ethernet and communication connections, the PLC is equipped with an RS-232 port and an RS-485 port for serial communication. The PLC module needs more power during the start up then when it is running steadily. It runs the start up diagnostics in the powerup process. The DC output circuit in the IC200UDR228 PLC module can be configured as a high-speed counter, pulse train, or PWM output module. The isolation voltage of the PLC module is 1500 Volts RMS and it has input supply rating of 8 Watts.
