Product Description

The IC697PWR724 is a 90 Watt, 24 VDC Power Supply Module (PSA) in the GE Fanuc 90-70 Series.
Highlights include operation from 24 VDC and three output voltage options for a total of 90 watts (+5 VDC output up to 18 amps; +12 VDC output up to 1.5 amps; and -12 VDC output up to 1 amp). The module features easy slide-in rack mount construction, electronic short circuit overcurrent protection provided on a 5 volt bus, and two rack operation from a single power supply.

The PSA mounts on the rack and plugs straight into a 48-pin backplane-mounted connector in the rack’s leftmost slot. It provides +5 volt, +12 volt, and -12 volt power as well as logic level sequencing signals to the backplane. The IC697PWR724 power supply can be utilized in a single rack application. Additionally, this PSA can deliver power to a second rack assuming the total load is within the appropriate supply rating. Interconnection to the second rack is by way of a prewired cable (part IC697CBL700). Power supply output will ride through a 10 ms total loss of input power at full load. Both overcurrent and overvoltage fault conditions are protected.

This PSA module operates from a 24 VDC nominal line. The power supply can accept an input voltage range of 18 to 32 VDC. For operation at ambient temperatures that exceed 50 C (122 F), the maximum output power must be derated. Please refer to the installation manual for this and additional mounting and ground instructions.
