Product Description


IC697MDL650 is a 32-Point, 24 VDC Positive Logic Input Module manufactured by GE Fanuc for Series 90-70. The IC697MDL650 module provides 32 input points organized in four isolated sets of eight points each. Its I/O references are distinct in the sense that they can be configured by the user without the use of DIP switches or jumpers on the module. The IC641 Programming Software configuration function installed on the programming device carries out the configuration. Programming devices can be any of the following: a compatible PC, an IC640/7 industrial computer, an XT, AT, IBM, or a PS/2.

Select features include a compatible proximity switch and selectable input filter (-1 mS or 10 mS). All the aforementioned features are available on any IC697 PLC. However, when IC697MDL650 is used with other PLC models, some features may not be available.  The IC697MDL650 has LED indications on its faceplate which alert the user to the on/off status of each point on the PLC. The lights also switch off whenever the module detects errors. The LED indicators also act as adjusting aids.

The IC697MDL650 is designed to have positive logic characteristics and as such, it sources current from the input device to the common user or to the negative power bus. This input module is compatible with devices such as pushbuttons, electronic proximity switches, limit switches, and selector switches (both 2-wire and 3-wire). It is important to note that output of any IC697 PLC positive logic output module can directly drive inputs on IC697MDL650 module.
