IC697MDL341 is a 120 / 240 VAC Discrete Output Module by GE for the 90-70 series. This module is equipped with 12 isolated points to ensure use of different phases on the AC supply. It has a 2 amp capacity per point and high inrush capacity at 10x the rated current to allow for an impressive range of inductive and incandescent loads. The module’s outputs are each fused with a 3.15 amp replaceable fuse.
The IC697MDL341 module utilizes LED indicators to provide the ON or OFF status of each point on the logic side of the circuit. Additionally, there is an LED that displays the status of the fuses found at the top of the module. If one or more of the fuses should blow, this LED will show ON. The module is mechanically keyed to guarantee correct replacement with a similar module type in the field. The user can configure I/O references, and conveniently, jumpers or DIP switches on the module are not needed.
Load devices including solenoids, motor starters, and indicators can benefit from the use of this module. A rating of 2 amps per point applies to the long-term current capacity of each point. Overall heat dissipation within the module limits the maximum current to 16 amps. Each output can transiently conduct a surge current greater than its long-term current rating. The rate at which surges can be repeated is dependent upon the current rating of the device and the percent of time the device is ON (or duty cycle).
The IC697MDL341 module is mechanically keyed. This prevents unintentional substitution of one module for another type in a given slot. The key fits a distinct shape on the board found below the connector. Each key is prepackaged with the IC697MDL341 module.
