Product Description

The IC697MDL250 Discrete Input Module by GE Fanuc has 32 points comprised of four isolated groups, which ensures each group of eight points can be used on a different AC supply phase.
This 120 VAC module is equipped with a 20 ms input filter and is proximity switch compatible.

The IC697MDL250 module’s reactive input is in accordance with IEC standard type 2. Additionally, input characteristics work with a vast number of available proximity switches. LEDs indicate ON-OFF status for each point on the logic/PLC side of the circuit and are easily located at the top of the module. The IC697MDL250 module is mechanically keyed to guarantee appropriate replacement with a similar field type. I/O references are user-configurable eliminating the need for jumpers or DIP switches. Configuration is completed via MS-DOS or Windows programming software, and the configuration function is already installed on the device.

The IC697MDL250 module can be used with a wide variety of input devices, including pushbuttons, limit switches, or selector switches and electronic proximity switches (2- or 3-wire type). The module’s input circuitry allows for low heat dissipation, which in turn assists with extreme reliability and longevity.

This module is equipped with a mechanical key that helps prevent accidental substitution of types in a given slot. The key fits a specifically shaped spot on the board below the connector. When the module is originally installed, the key fastens onto the backplane center rail. When the module is removed, the key stays in the center rail, requiring the slot to take only identical module types. If the user needs to change the module location in the rack after the key has been attached to the rack, the key can be removed by pushing up and unhooking the latch. The key and module can then be reinserted as needed.
