The GE Fanuc IC697ALG321 Analog Input Module is a Series 90-70 solid-state input interface that has been designed and made by GE Fanuc in order to allow industrial machine users to reduce wiring installation time and to streamline troubleshooting procedures. It comes with 4 independent voltage channels which can be connected to any type of actuator, indicator, or transductor that is compatible with the GE Fanuc Series 90-70 control architecture. The GE Fanuc IC697ALG321 Analog Input Module is installed by insertion into any available slot in the backplane of a GE Fanuc Programmable Logic Controller, which should be disconnected from the power in order to avoid electrical arcs, because hot-swap operations are not supported. When the IC697ALG321 Analog Input Module is correctly mounted in its place, the technicians will hear an audible click. All of the wiring connections are made directly into a separate terminal board, not into this analog input module.
The GE Fanuc IC697ALG321 Analog Input Module is made of hard and durable plastic and it comes from the factory in an open-style enclosure, which is not able to or intended to provide sufficient protection against high humidity or to prevent the entry of dirt or water into the device. The GE Fanuc IC697ALG321 Analog Input Module should be installed inside a properly protected enclosure, in order to keep it clean and safe and to maintain it within the environmental parameters recommended by the manufacturer for trouble-free operation. The voltage input range of the module is between -10 and +10 Volts AC, with a resolution of 16 bits and a conversion rate of 2 milliseconds.
The IC697ALG321 module is an analog input module manufactured by GE Fanuc. It is a Series 90-70 GE device designed for the GE Fanuc PLC systems. This module is used for industrial automation and it is useful in enhanced application processing. This open enclosure module is meant to be used for indoor applications only. No IP rating is granted to this module. This analog input module has a resolution of 16 bits. The IC697ALG321 module uses 4 channels and it has a maximum voltage rating of 10 Volts DC. The module comes with 14-bit monotonicity by default. The analog module comes with a conversion rate of 2 milliseconds. The module is easy to use and is factory calibrated at 10 Volts. The input impedance of the module is 250 ohms. It can be connected to a personal computer for programming and configuration by using MS DOS by Microsoft.
The IC697ALG321 module is compact in size and it only weighs 4 pounds. The module is powered by 112 milliamps of current at 5 Volts voltage. The module supports ladder programming and instruction sets. A processor is built into the module that does the logic processing functions. The module uses the compatible 2s complement format. An EEPROM unit is present in the module to store program data for the CPU. The IC697ALG321 module comes with an input filter frequency of 41 Hertz. The input module should be kept in a place free from EMC noise and contaminants. The module is placed inside the PLC rack using screws for secure mounting. The module can be mounted both vertically and horizontally.
