Product Description


IC693TCM302 is a temperature Control Module for the Series 90™-30 PLC. The Temperature Control module is a high-performance control module that offers around eight channels of thermocouple input and eight channels of control output in a single Series 90-30 module. Every module has the ability to function in a locked or open loop mode. This makes it easier for the PLC to perform temperature monitoring and control functions. IC693TCM302 is structured to be utilized by many applications. It has the potential to display 12 bits or 0.2°C resolution, ± 12V common mode voltage, it can detect Open thermocouple and reverse connection and the ability to detect and show out-of-tolerance temperature. The temperature control modules regulate temperature in eight independent zones within ±1°C of the specified temperature one zone.  The TCM has two modes of functionality; auto mode and manual mode. These modes can be used depending on each zone basis. In the auto mode, the TCM actualizes a closed-loop PID (Proportional - Integral - Derivative) temperature control. Each one of the zones has The PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) output which is programmable from 0.1 to 60 seconds. The PWM output duty cycle for a single zone is obtained depending on PID coefficients. These coefficients run from 0 to 100 % of the output period with a resolution of 0.1%.   Based on Manual Mode, the TCM implements puts into action an open-loop. Each output channel has a duty cycle similar to that of auto mode.

The TCM has the following functions; power on self-test (POST) including memory and peripheral circuitry testing. It offers continuous evaluation and shows off the outside power status with the help of a front panel. The IC693TCM302 panel has 12 LED indicators that provide and confirm the thermocouple status for every zone and gives feedback concerning open-circuit and reverse polarity faults. If a thermocouple fault exists, the zone charge of controlling can maintain manual duty cycle output or switch off the output immediately. The TCM permits the Programmable Logic Controller user to put together both the logic and control functions of the Series 90-30 PLC with a high-performance temperature controller. The temperature control of many configurations of heaters can be contributed by a variety of TCM. The TCM and the Series 90-30 PLC can work in harmony to offer an open/closed loop temperature control. The Reference and configuration information is moved to each PLC from the Series 90-30 and the TCM by the use of %Q and %AQ data. In addition, The TCM   consists of a 2 Amp user fuse that is replaceable and is situated at the TCM circuit board at the back of the front bezel. IC693TCM302 can work on a Series 90-30 expansion baseplate. This can be set up using the logic master 90 software in order to avoid the local application program from starting any command which might interfere with the functions the module.
