The IC693PWR332 is a High Capacity Power Supply for GE Fanuc series 90-30 PLCs. Its power is 30 Watts and is designed for wide range supply. Its nominal input is 12 VDC, but the actual input can vary from 9.6 to 15 VDC. Instead of a single output, it has three different outputs: one +5VDC for CPU inputs or outputs, one +24V Relay output for output relay modules, and an isolated +24VDC supply for internal or external use in modules.
The user terminal strip of the IC693PWR332 High Capacity Power Supply include DC input, ground, and a +24 VDC output. DC input power is connected at the top of supply’s terminal strip. There is system ground for overvoltage protection and +24 VDC output for I/O modules. The power supply also deploys a CPU RS-485 serial port for a computer, handheld programmer, or serial device. Backplane or internal connections include +24 VDC isolated and relay connections, a +5VDC connection, and ground.
To determine the exact input power for the IC693PWR332 High Capacity Power Supply, a series of steps must be followed. First examine the input power needed by all modules in their specifications. Add those together and multiply the total by 1.5. This number is the total of the input power needed. To find the current’s input value, divide the input power by the voltage of the source power. If voltage is less, current will be more; however, everything will work with only a 10 to 20 percent alteration in current and voltage.
The IC693PWR332 High Capacity Power Supply has four LEDs. The PWR labeled LED has a green light when a correct power supply is connected. If the green light is not on, power supply is faulty or not connected. The second LED has the label OK, which is also green when the PLC is working properly. The third LED named RUN indicates that the PLC is in RUN mode.
