The GE Fanuc IC693PWR331 is a High Capacity power supply. This Series 90-30 unit runs off DC input. It has a 30 watt wide range and is designed for 24 VDC nominal inputs. If used in applications that demand more than +5V current capacity than provided by the standard supply, the IC693PWR331 power supply will allow all 30 watts to be consumed from its +5 V output.
Users can calculate the power needed for their applications whenever using this unit. To start, you must determine the total output power load for each individual module in the system. These specifications are available in the Installation Manual for the IC693 PLC series. Next, multiply the output power by 1.5. This will give you the input power value. Then, divide the input power by the operating source voltage to calculate the input current requirement.

The IC693PWR331 module from GE Fanuc is a power supply module. The IC693PWR331 power supply module is part of the GE Fanuc Series 90-30 product line and it is manufactured as a power supply for the Series 90-30 PLCs or programmable logic controllers. Its nominal voltage rating is 24 Volts DC and its maximum load capacity is 30 Watts. Its voltage range is from 38 to 56 Volts DC. The full load power rating of the IC693PWR331 power supply module is 50 Watts. It has been certified by the CE and UL standards. When this power supply is installed in a baseplate in a Series 90-30 PLC, it must be installed in the leftmost slot in the baseplate that is specially designed just for hosting power supply modules. If it is installed in any other slot, it will not be able to function or to supply power to other devices in the PLC.
The GE Fanuc Series 90-30 IC693PWR331 power supply module has an RS 485 serial port on the front panel that it can use to make connections to a computer or different kinds of peripheral devices for special applications. To ensure that it will operate for as long as possible at full power, keep the IC693PWR331 power supply module away from heat-generating devices and away from dirt, dust, debris, corrosive chemicals, water, and other liquids. This power supply can use a grounding screw to ground it for electrical protection. The hold-up time for the IC693PWR331 power supply module is about 10 milliseconds when it is being switched on and when it is being switched off.
