Product Description


IC693PRG301 is a Hand Held Programmer from GE Automation. This particular programmer offers the ability to create a statement list program. Features of the statement list program include edit, insert, and delete in addition to making program changes online. Also included is the ability to search for logic program instructions and machine references if needed by the user. The user also has the option to perform optional dual use checking of discrete output references when the instructions are entered.

There are four separate operating modes for the IC693PRG301, including Program, Statement List, Interaction. These work in conjunction with a Series 90 Memory Card or EEPROM. Program mode can be used to alter, create, debug, or monitor while the Interaction mode allows the user to read, write, and verify. Also available are Data, Protection, and Configuration Modes. Data mode allows the user to view and alter values in reference tables as well as use differing display formats. Protection mode enables control access to a PLC, but this mode is user optional. In configuration mode, the user can define the makeup of I/O modules that include the preinstalled modules and those installed at a later time.

As soon as power is supplied to the PLC, the Hand Held Programmer begins a diagnostics test. Once complete, the IC693PRG301 can interact with the PLC.
