The IC693MDR390, manufactured by GE Fanuc, is a 24 volts DC Input/Output Relay module. This module provides 8 inputs and 1 common power input terminal and 8 normally-open relay circuits in the same module. The input circuits are compatible with either negative or positive characteristics in which they source or sink between input devices and the common user. These input circuits are arranged into one group for every 8 inputs. The circuits for relay output are arranged as two groups having four circuits for both. There is a common terminal for power output per group. Input characteristics are compatible with a huge range of devices. Proximity switches, push buttons, and limit switches are some of the devices compatible with the IC693MDR390 that may be useful for the user’s system. Field devices operate on user-supplied power.
The user provided output loads are controlled by relay circuits that are normally-open. Every output has two amps of switching capacity output. Relay outputs can control a wide variety of load devices supplied by the user, such as indicators, motors, and solenoids. The backplane has a +24 volts DC bus which provides the power for the relay circuits, which are internal. The field devices operate on AC source or DC source for power which must be supplied by the user. This module has no fuses.
