Product Description

The GE Fanuc IC693MDL760 is a solenoid valve output module. This unit has eleven pneumatic outputs and five 24VDC sourcing outputs. For each of the pneumatic outputs, the module contains an internal 3- way solenoid-actuated valve and an associated output fitting. The fittings are located on the front panel.  The module is enclosed in a standard IC693 plastic housing. When the user switches the output on, the internal valve connects a pressure source to the output fitting. This pressure source is supplied by the user and can have a maximum pressure of 100 psi. It is connected to the fitting on the bottom of the output module.  The valve has an output port, which is vented inside the module whenever the output is switched off.

The unit can be hooked up to an external 24VDC source to provide solenoid power. On the front panel of the module, there is a 12-pin connector. This enables the user to connect the Solenoid Forcing Pendent. The five outputs on this output module can each drive a maximum current of 0.5A. The maximum cumulative total for all five points is 2.0A. There is also a 10-pin connector on the front panel, enabling field wiring to be connected to the output points. In order to power the positive logic outputs that source current to the field connections, the user must provide 24VDC power.   Although the five output points are electrically isolated from the PLC backplane, they are not individually isolated from each other. This device should be configured by its catalog number when using VersaPro programming software version 2.0 or later. Otherwise, the module must be configured like a standard 16-point generic output module.
