The IC693MDL635 is a 125-volt DC Positive/Negative Logic Input module. This GE Fanuc module is specifically designed for compatibility in the RX3i system and can be installed into any I/O within the system. IC693MDL635 has dual logic characteristics – i.e. positive or negative and has 16 input points in one group with a common power input terminal. When current flows into an input point, it produces a logic 1 in the status table of the input (%I). The IC693MDL635 design input characteristics make it suited to and operational with a robust option of input devices, such as electronic proximity switches, pushbuttons and limit switches.
This 125-volt DC Positive/Negative Logic Input module has a rated voltage of 125 volts with a DC input voltage range of 0 to +150 volts DC. Its isolation (field to Backplane, optical, and to frame ground) is 250 VACs continuous; 1500 VAC for one minute. The input current when operating at the rated voltage is typically 1.97 mA. IC693MDL635 has input characteristics that feature the on-state voltage of 90 to 150 volts DC while the off-state voltage is 0 to 30 volts DC. The on-state current has a 1.41 mA minimum and the off-state current has a 0.46 mA maximum. The and off response time is also typically 8 ms for each. Power consumption at 5V is 80 mA (when all inputs are on) from a 5-volt bus on the backplane. Power consumption at 125V is 31.5 mA from user-supplied power when all inputs are on at 125VDC. To identify the module as a high-voltage module, there are red bands on the label.
For terminal block wiring, the torque must be in the range 9.6 to 11.5 in.-ib (1.08 to 1.30 n-M); the wiring - copper conductors stranded or solid 90C rated, one 14-22 AWG or two 16-22 AWG. Either solid or stranded wires, but not combined, are to be used in the same terminal. Also, no combinations of different wire sizes are to be used in one terminal.
