Product Description
IC693CMM301 is a Genius Communications Module (GCM) which is an intelligent module for the Series 90-30 PLC which offers worldwide connections on a genius communications bus between series 90-30 PLCs and other GE Fanuc PLCs. With the use of genius bus controllers, Series 90-70, Series Six, and Series Five PLCs can easily communicate. 0-32 devices can be linked on a Genius Bus. The Genius bus links to the terminal board on the front of GCM module.
The IC693CMM301 Genius Communications bus uses a noise immune network so as to offer fast data transmission of real-time control data. Series 90-30 PLCs are able to connect with one another via a one Genius I/O serial bus with the aid of standard twisted pair, shielded cable, daisy-chained between devices, and terminated at both ends. It is important to use the proper cable to ensure good performance of the system.
