The GE Fanuc IC693CBK002 Series 90-30 I/O Module Cable Assembly is a cable kit for connecting the Series 90-30 32-point I/O modules with dual 24-pin port connectors. This cable kit contains both the 1-meter-long IC693CBL329 Left-Side Cable and IC693CBL330 Right-Side Cable that are used for connecting the Series 90-30 32-point modules with dual 24-pin ports to the Terminal Block Quick Connect (TBQC) assemblies. The IC693CBL329 and IC693CBL330 Cable are newer cables that have replaced the obsolete IC693CBL321/322/323 Cables and can be used interchangeably with the 32-point I/O module cables. The IC693CBL329 and IC693CBL330 Cables are compatible with only the 32-point I/O modules with dual 24-pin connectors and TBQC I/O faceplate adapters for connecting to terminal block quick connect assemblies.
Unlike the obsolete versions, the IC693CBK002 Module Cable Assembly is designed with 24-pin right-angle connectors on both ends of the cable which provide considerably reduced clearance space for PLC connections. Each of the IC693CBK002 Module Cable Assembly’s right-angle cables (the IC693CBL329 and IC693CBL330) provides a 1 meter-long direct connection from the 32-point I/O module to a 24-pin connector on the mounted terminal block assembly. For precise and proper wiring, these cables are wired pin-to-pin, for example, Pin A1 from the cable to Pin A1 on the terminal block connector, Pin A2 form the cable to Pin A2 on the terminal block connector, etc. The IC693CBK002 Module Cable Assembly is compatible with a wide variety of terminal block assemblies thus can accommodate a long list of I/O modules. The IC693CBK002 Module Cable Assembly’s cables have a maximum connection length of 1 meter and a maximum connector depth of 2.5 inches.
The IC693CBK002 cable kit belongs to the GE Fanuc Series 90-30 product line of high-density I/O modules. It comes with the IC693CBL329 left side cable and the IC693CBL329 right side cable. The IC693CBL329 cable has a dual 24-pin, 90 degrees, left side connector and the IC693CBL330 cable has a dual 24-pin, 90 degrees, left side connector. Both of the cables are 1 meter in length. The connectors extend 2 inches out from the face of the Series 90-30 modules. This means that the mounting cabinet must be selected so that it accommodates the extended depth of the connectors. The Series 90-30 modules must have dual 24-pin connectors to operate properly. This IC693CBK002 cable kit is designed for use with GE Series 90-30 high-density modules.
The IC693CBK002 cable kit provides cables with 1.2 Amps of current ratings. These cables can be used with dual connector type 32-point I/O modules as well as with 16-point output modules that have a higher current rating. In the latter case, it is recommended to use the standard terminal board except for with the TBQC assembly. Another use of these cables is to use them to connect Series 90-30 I/O modules to terminal block quick connect assemblies. The cables which are included in this IC693CBK002 cable kit can be replaced with the IC693CBL321, 322, and 323 cables which have straight connectors. It is recommended to use a right-angle connector if the clearance space in front of the PLC needs to be reduced. The main application of this cable kit is with terminal block quick connect assemblies. These high-density cables ensure easy, durable, and efficient connectivity.
