Product Description

IC698PSA350 is a PACSystems Power Supply Module produced by GE Fanuc for the RX7i series. This module delivers +5 VDC, +12 VDC, and -12 VDC power. In addition, it sends logic level sequencing signals to modules on the backplane. The module plugs into slot 0 in the main rack.

The IC698PSA350 module’s power supply output may lose one AC input line cycle while maintaining output power. Overcurrent and overvoltage fault protection is provided in addition to electronic short circuit protection. The module permits 100 watts total output power at ambient temperatures of 0 to 60ºC without forced air cooling.

Output voltages are as follows: +5 VDC output to 60 amps, +12 VDC output to 12 amps, and -12 VDC output to 4 amps.

More notable features of the IC698PSA350 module include operation from 85 to 264 VAC or 100 to 150 VDC. The module is equipped with AC operation power factor correction and easy slide-in rack mount construction.

The two-position On/Off logic level switch can be found on the front faceplate. It has the capability to enable or disable output channels and will not disturb the AC line input. Important warning: Lethal voltages are present in the module when input power is present.

Green LED indicators on the IC698PSA350 module monitor the status of field and output. These will turn ON when power is applied within the acceptable range and when DC output channels are operating correctly. A red LED specific to this module will alert the user if critical supply temp is too high or if there is an issue with airflow.

The GE Fanuc IC698PSA350 Power Supply Module is a DC power supply module that is made for the GE enhanced RX7i PACSystems series control system. This power supply module supplies +5 Volts DC, +12 Volts DC, and -12 Volts DC power and logic-level signals to devices and I/O that are connected to the RX7i backplane. The IC698PSA350 Power Supply Module, like every RX7i series module, has a modular design that allows it to slide perfectly into Slot 0 of the RX7i system’s main rack. The IC698PSA350 Power Supply Module is designed to maintain output power through power losses of up to 1 AC input line cycle, and it comes with built-in over-current, over-voltage, and electronic short-circuit protection. The IC698PSA350 Power Supply Module supports both AC and DC inputs and it has a power factor correction feature for its AC operation.

The IC698PSA350 Power Supply Module has a rated nominal input rating of 120/240 Volts AC or 125 Volts DC, and an acceptable input range of 85 to 264 Volts AC (at 47 to 63 Hertz) or 100 to 150 Volts DC. It has a nominal output power rating of 350 Watts at 60 degrees Celsius and a maximum output value of up to 500 Watts maximum. The IC698PSA350 Power Supply Module has a maximum inrush rating of 30 Amps at 115 Volts AC (cold start) and 60 Amps at 230 Volts AC (cold start) for 100 milliseconds. The IC698PSA350 Power Supply Module has a power factor value of 0.99 that is valid only through 90 to 260 Volts AC and an isolation rating of up to 1500 Volts AC between the input and all outputs for 1 minute. It has an over-voltage output limit of 5.7 to 6.7 Volts DC and an over-current limit of 66 Amps at +5 Volts DC output.
