The GE IC697VRD008 Analog Voltage Input Board is an intelligent 8-channel RTD/strain bridge analog input board from the GE Fanuc RX3i PACSystems series industrial control system. This module has 8 differential analog inputs. These 8 inputs support voltage, RTD, and strain bridge input signal levels.
The GE Fanuc IC697VRD008 Analog Voltage Input Board is an intelligent 8-channel RTD/strain-bridge analog input board from the RX3i PACSystems industrial control system. This analog input board is designed to accept low-level voltage inputs between +/-30 millivolts and +/-100 millivolts and either RTD or strain-bridge inputs. The IC697VRD008 Analog Voltage Input Board is designed to be self-sustaining, and it provides all the necessary multiplexing, signal conditioning, digitizing, and digital signal processing functions that it needs. The IC697VRD008 Analog Voltage Input Board can be configured for voltage operation, strain-bridge operation, or RTD operation, or voltage, strain-bridge, and RTD operation simultaneously. Each input channel has a P3 mating connector, and they can all be individually configured for RTD, strain-bridge, or voltage input operation by using the onboard jumpers.
The IC697VRD008 Analog Voltage Input Board also has a built-in analog-to-digital converter (ADC), which converts (digitizes) every analog input signal into 12 bits plus sign data words and then digitally processes these inputs to provide the final output data. Aside from digitizing and processing the analog voltage inputs, the IC697VRD008 Analog Voltage Input Board also provides linearization for RTD input types and it supplies continuous current excitation for each RTD input circuit. For the strain bridge input channel, an optional strain gauge bridge excitation is provided via an onboard bridge supply. The IC697VRD008 Analog Voltage Input Board’s 8 configurable differential analog inputs are protected against normal and common-mode overvoltage surges of up to 130 Volts AC (RMS). These inputs are suitable for applications such as voltage, temperature, strain, and pressure/load measurements. For RTD inputs, the IC697VRD008 Analog Voltage Input Board has a temperature range of -200 to 850 degrees Celsius (with platinum RTDs) and with a processing accuracy of +/-0.25 degrees Celsius at 0 degrees Celsius.
