The IC695PSA140 Power Supply Module is a DC power supply module that belongs to the GE Fanuc RX3i PACSystems series of products. It is a multipurpose power supply that comes with an output power of 40 Watts. The recommended voltage range is 85 to 264 Volts AC or 100 to 300 Volts DC. The IC695PSA140 Power Supply Module occupies 2 backplane slots.  It has 4 LEDs to indicate power, P/S fault, over-temperature, and overload situations. There is an on/off switch behind the door on the front of the power supply to control the operation of the outputs. This module has wiring terminals for power, ground, and MOV connections. The terminals of the module can each accept one wire 14 to 22 AWG gauge.

The IC695PSA140 Power Supply can provide 3 output voltages which are 5.1 Volts DC output, 24 Volts DC relay output, and 3.3 Volts DC output. The nominal rated voltage of the module is 120/240 Volts AC or 125 Volts DC. It is rated at 150 millivolts of ripple and noise for all outputs. If the power source is interrupted, this power supply maintains the output for 20 milliseconds. It accepts up to 4 daisy-chained power supplies at a time. If an internal fault occurs in the IC695PSA140 power supply, the CPU can detect the error through the fault code. The universal backplane accepts up to 4 power supplies. Its 5.1 Volts DC output has 7 Amps of electronic current limit and its 3.3 Volts DC output has 10 Amps of current limit for providing overcurrent protection. This module can be used in redundancy and load-sharing applications.

Customer Questions and Answers

  • Question:  What is an IC695PSA140?  Answer:  The IC695PSA140 is a Multi-Purpose, 120/240 VAC or 125 VDC, 40 Watt Power Supply from the GE Fanuc RX3i Series.
  • Question:   From what input voltage source range does IC695PSA140 operate?  Answer:  This power supply operates from an input voltage source range of 85 to 264 VAC or 100 VDC to 300 VDC.
  • Question:   What 3 outputs does this power supply have?  Answer:
    • +5.1 VDC output
    • +24 VDC relay output that can be used to power circuits on Output Relay modules
    • +3.3 VDC which, is used internally by RX3i modules with IC695 catalog numbers
  • Question:   How many IC695PSA140's can be installed in a PACSystems RX3i Universal Backplane?  Answer:  Up to 4 multi-purpose power supplies (PSA140 and/or PSD140) can be used in a PACSystems RX3i Universal Backplane.
  • Question:   With what can IC695PSA140 not be used?  Answer:  This power supply cannot be used with other RX3i power supplies in redundant or increased capacity modes.
  • Question:  What do the 4 LEDs indicate?  Answer:
    • Power (Green/Amber). When this LED is green, it indicates power is being supplied to the backplane. When this LED is amber, power is applied to the power supply, but the power supply switch is off.
    • P/S Fault (Red). When this LED is lit, it indicates the power supply has failed and is no longer supplying sufficient voltage to the backplane.
    • Over Temperature (Amber). When this LED is lit, it indicates the power supply is near or exceeding its maximum operating temperature.
    • Overload (Amber). When this LED is lit, it indicates the power supply is near or exceeding its maximum output capability on at least one of its outputs.
  • Question:  What should I do if my IC695PSA140 is not working properly?  Answer:  Your IC695PSA140 may need repair.
