The IC695CPU315 is a 1 GHz Central Processing Unit from the GE Fanuc PACSystems RX3i Series. It has an Intel Celeron-M microprocessor with 20 MB of user memory (also known as random access memory or RAM) and 20 MB of flash storage memory. As a programmable controller, the IC695CPU315 is capable of up to 32K I/O operations per second. It supports up to 512 program blocks at a maximum size of 128 KB per block. The IC695CPU315 communicates with I/O and Intelligent Option modules using a dual backplane bus.
RX3i CPUs like this one are designed for real-time control of machines, processes, and material handling systems. They can be programmed in C, or in three of the five programming languages recognized by the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission). From the IEC language list specifically, you can program IC695CPU315 in Ladder Logic (Ladder Diagram), Structured Text, or Function Block Diagram languages. Only the Sequential Function Chart and Instruction List language options do not apply.
IC695CPU315 uses floating point algorithms, and its firmware can be upgraded within the system. Auto-located Symbolic Variables can use as much memory as they need, up to the full 20 MB capacity of user memory. The CPU comes factory-configured with two front=facing ports, an RS-485 serial port and an RS-232 serial port. Accordingly, you have both a 9-pin connector and a 15-pin connector. The CPU supports the SNP, Serial I/O, and Modbus Slave and Master serial protocols. IC695CPU315 also supports most of the older GE Fanuc Series 90-30 modules and expansion racks.

The IC695CPU315 Central Processing Unit or CPU belongs to PACSystems RX3i series of products designed by GE Fanuc. It has 20 MB of battery-backed RAM, 20 MB of non-volatile flash user memory, 3.3 Volts DC and 1 Amp or 5 Volts DC and 1.2 Amps of power requirement, embedded communication options, a 0 to 60 degrees Celsius operating temperature range, and up to 512 program blocks. It provides a dual backplane to efficiently communicate with I/Os. This module offers 2 serial communication ports that are the RS-232 and RS-485 ports. A rack-based Ethernet interface module can be used to establish the Ethernet communication. The IC695CPU315 Central Processing Unit can be programmed using a variety of languages such as ladder diagram, structured text, function block diagram, or C programming language.
The IC695CPU315 Central Processing Unit is compatible with a programmer and HMI devices for controlling and monitoring the whole plant. It comes with a dual backplane which provides a high-speed serial bus and an RX3i PCI. The typical Boolean execution speed of the module is 0.047 milliseconds per 1000 Boolean instructions. It is electrically compliant with the PCI 2.2 standards. The main features of the IC695CPU315 CPU include access to bulk memory, configurable data and program memory, in-system upgradeable firmware, and embedded communication with serial protocol support. It is compatible with most Series 90-30 modules, communication modules, and expansion racks. When installing the battery, make sure to install the CPU in the rack and power on the rack before connecting the battery. This module is used to perform the real-time control of machines and processes in the plant.
