Product Description

The IC695CPK330 is a Central Processing Unit housed with an energy pack and an RJ-45 Ethernet port (10/100/1000 Mbaud). Working with firmware on the controller, the energy pack supports retention of volatile memory throughout any power outages or unexpected fluctuations. When you lose system power, the energy pack ensures that the controller has time to write the contents of volatile memory over to non-volatile memory. If you have configured your controller to power up from RAM, then when power comes back online, the contents of user memory are also restored.

IC695CPK330  is part of the GE Fanuc PACSystems RX3i Series. Like other controllers in the RX3i Series, IC695CPK330 runs Proficy Machine Edition software from General Electric. It has a 1 GHz Dual Core processor, and comes with 64 MB of user logic memory (RAM). IC695CPK330 has a minimal and efficient footprint, occupying only two slots on a universal backplane.

The energy pack in IC695CPK330 can supply a maximum of 45 Watts. Firmware for the energy pack is automatically updated by the controller whenever necessary, based on a system check that the controller does during the module's power-up phase. The energy pack has a five-year life expectancy, provided you install it as recommended. You should avoid installing this module in direct sunlight, or where it risks exposure to rain, other liquids, or corrosive gasses. In addition, it is always good practice to install energy packs next to the controllers they support, placing such modules in areas to which access is restricted. The cable length between an energy pack and the controller it supports should not exceed one meter (approximately 3 feet).
