Product Description

The IC695CPK330 is a Central Processing Unit housed with an energy pack and an RJ-45 Ethernet port (10/100/1000 Mbaud). Working with firmware on the controller, the energy pack supports retention of volatile memory throughout any power outages or unexpected fluctuations. When you lose system power, the energy pack ensures that the controller has time to write the contents of volatile memory over to non-volatile memory. If you have configured your controller to power up from RAM, then when power comes back online, the contents of user memory are also restored.

IC695CPK330  is part of the GE Fanuc PACSystems RX3i Series. Like other controllers in the RX3i Series, IC695CPK330 runs Proficy Machine Edition software from General Electric. It has a 1 GHz Dual Core processor, and comes with 64 MB of user logic memory (RAM). IC695CPK330 has a minimal and efficient footprint, occupying only two slots on a universal backplane.

The energy pack in IC695CPK330 can supply a maximum of 45 Watts. Firmware for the energy pack is automatically updated by the controller whenever necessary, based on a system check that the controller does during the module's power-up phase. The energy pack has a five-year life expectancy, provided you install it as recommended. You should avoid installing this module in direct sunlight, or where it risks exposure to rain, other liquids, or corrosive gasses. In addition, it is always good practice to install energy packs next to the controllers they support, placing such modules in areas to which access is restricted. The cable length between an energy pack and the controller it supports should not exceed one meter (approximately 3 feet).

The GE Fanuc IC695CPK330 module is a CPU module manufactured as part of the RX3i PACSystems series. It comes with an energy pack as well as an Ethernet port, and with support for universal backplanes only. This module features a battery-backed real-time clock and a CPU module memory with a 64-MB capacity. The dynamic data backup is provided in the energy pack for battery-less backup. The GE Fanuc IC695CPK330 CPU module has support for 32K analog I/O points and 32K discrete I/O points. It supports high-speed CompactFlash memory, and its dual-core processor speed is 1.6 Gigahertz. There is also a USB 2.0 port which is used for CPU application uploads and downloads to a smartphone or thumb drive. This module supports 10, 100, and 1000 Mbaud Ethernet speeds with the RJ-45 port. The 2-port 10, 100, and 1000 Mbaud switch is integral to this CPU module.

The IC695CPK330 CPU module supports a maximum 8 local racks. Some of its communication options are the HART SNP, SRTP, DNP3 outstation, IEC104, OPC-UA EGD, and IEC61850 protocols. The I/O protocols for this CPU module are the Modbus TCP, Genius, Modbus TRU, Devicenet, Profibus, Reflective Memory, and EGD protocols. The programming software used for this unit is the Machine Edition Logic Developer PLC 8.6 SIM8 software. This program can be used for the configuration and programming of the IC695CPK330 CPU module. This module also has support for various programming languages like the structured text, ladder logic, and function block diagram programming languages. It also has power requirement of 3.3 Amps at a voltage of 5 Volts DC.
