The IC695CNM001 module is a CANopen master module manufactured by GE Fanuc and GE Intelligent Platforms as part of the Rx3i PACSystems series. This module is designed to enable the CPU of an Rx3i controller to send and receive data on the CANopen network. Additionally, this CANopen master module can serve as a master module for a maximum of 5 different devices on a CANopen network. The GE Fanuc IC695CNM001 CANopen master module features 3 LED indicators that display the communication and operating status of the module. It also has a male 9-pin D-connector that interfaces to the module’s CANopen network. This module should be installed in any of the I/O slots found in the Rx3i system’s main rack except for slot 0 which is also known as the expansion slot. Among the notable features of this module are 272 bytes of maximum RX PDO data scanning and 272 bytes of maximum TX PDO data scanning (20 bytes slave status and module status diagnostics.)

 

The GE Fanuc IC695CNM001 CANopen master module also features fault logging for the addition or loss of CANopen slave devices with support for the Heartbeat protocol and node guarding, or it can have the PDO counter health monitoring status enabled. The GE Fanuc IC695CNM001 CANopen master module also has a slave status bit for each slave address to show whether the devices are in good condition and operating properly. Other specifications of this module include a backplane current consumption rating of 800 milliamps at 3.3 Volts DC. It comes with the version 7.70+ Rx3i CPU firmware, and the exchange of process data is done through the Process Data Object (PDO) protocol transfer.
