The IC695ALG600 Thermocouple Input Module is a universal analog input module manufactured by GE Fanuc. It has 8 general-purpose input channels and 2 CJC channels. All the inputs are divided into 2 equal groups. The IC695ALG600 Thermocouple Input Module offers 6 analog to digital filter frequencies which can be individually configured to each channel. Its diagnostic facilities have on-board error checking, open-circuit detection, short-circuit detection, and module fault reporting. Some of the features of the module include full auto-calibration, on-board error checking, user-defined scaling, module fault reporting, terminal block insertion or removal detection, configurable software filters, and configurable interrupts. It provides temperature readings in Celsius or Fahrenheit.
The IC695ALG600 Thermocouple Input Module is compatible with the CIMPLICITY machine edition software. It is a completely software-configurable module that provides easy configuration and commissioning processes. It provides 2 isolated groups of input channels. The power dissipation within the module is 5.4 Watts. It offers floating-point user scaling. This IC695ALG600 module can be installed in an RX3i universal backplane. However, it cannot be located in an expansion or remote backplane. Its group of input channels can be individually-configured to be thermocouple inputs, RTD inputs, resistance inputs, or current and voltage inputs. It offers 11 to 16 bits of input resolution. The input resolution of the module depends on the A/D filter frequency and configuration range. It is recommended to use CJC sensors for the thermocouple input configurations. It can automatically check for the presence of the terminal block. This module comes with flash memory for easy future upgrades.
