The IC694PSK001 power sync and measurement kit or PSM kit belongs to the GE Fanuc PACSystems RX3i series of products. This PSM system consists of a PSM module, a terminal assembly, and 2 interface cables. The IC694PSK001 power sync and measurement kit monitors 2 independent 3-phase power grids at a time. It comes with advanced digital signal processor technology to monitor the voltage and current inputs of power grids. Some of the measurements handled by this device include the RMS current, RMS voltage, RMS power, frequency, and the relationship between the phase voltages. It can be used with single-phase power systems and with wye or delta-type 3-phase power systems.   

 

The IC694PSK001 power sync and measurement kit comes with a PSM module which can be mounted in an RX3i rack, a panel-mounted terminal assembly unit that provides the interface between the input transformers, and an interface connection cable for connecting the module and the terminal assembly. The backplane power consumption rating of the module is 400 milliamps at 5 Volts DC and the total power dissipation is 2 Watts. The measurement accuracy of the module is 0.2% for the voltage, 0.2% for the current, 1% for the power factor, 0.01 Hertz for the frequency, and 0.1 degrees for the phase angle. Any number of PSM modules can be connected to the RX3i system as long as the power supply has sufficient capacity. This module and its terminal assembly can be easily calibrated via hardware calibration. The IC694PSK001 power sync and measurement kit can be used in applications such as fault monitoring, a generator that powers the grid synchronization, and in electrical power consumption monitoring and reporting applications.
