Product Description

The GE Fanuc IC694MDL350 is a 120/240 Volt AC, 16 output module that provides 16 isolated output points. Unlike previous models, this module is strongly protected against transient electrical noise from the power line so it doesn’t need an external snubber. The 16 individual outputs can handle a wide variety of inductive and incandescent loads. Output loads require a user-supplied external AC power supply to operate. A DIP switch is located on the back side of the output module IC694MDL350 and is used to control output default mode. It can be set to Force Off or Hold Last State. To use this switch, the user must remove the module from the backplane.

On the front side of the module, indication LEDs helps the user monitor output use. These individually numbered LEDs indicate ON and OFF status and also monitors the terminal block. Additionally, there are two red bands on the door card that alert the user to the module’s high voltage.  The IC694MDL350 can be connected to box-style, spring style, or extended versions of the terminal block. Extended terminal blocks offer extra shroud depth normally needed for field wiring to AC devices. Terminal blocks will need to be ordered separately. This module can work in any Rx3i system I/O slot; however, it must be used with a version 3.50 or greater RX3i CPU. It cannot be used with a 90-30 series PLC CPU.

GE Fanuc Automation manufactures the IC694MDL350 Output Module as part of the RX3i PACSystems series. It features 16 isolated outputs, and it has a voltage rating of 120 to 240 Volts AC. This unit has an effective and outstanding noise immunity level which helps to reduce the need for external snubbers for protecting the outputs from the noise from electrical transients. This unit has output loads which are powered by an external AC source of power only. On the rear side of the output module, there is a DIP switch that is used for selecting the output mode like the “Force Off” mode or the “Hold Last State” mode. The IC694MDL350 Output Module must be removed from the backplane to enable the configuration of the switch. It is compatible and usable with terminal blocks including the box-style, extended spring-style, spring-style, or the extended box-style terminal blocks which provide an extra protective case that is essential for field wiring to the AC appliances.

The IC694MDL350 Output Module comes with LED indicators that show the on and off status of each output point of the module. It also features a terminal block LED indicator since this module can accommodate removable terminal blocks. When the “Terminal Block” LED indicator turns green, it means that the terminal block installed. When this LED turns red, then it means that no terminal block is present, or that the terminal block has been disconnected. There is a red band on top of the module’s door which means that it is a high-voltage output module. The GE Fanuc IC694MDL350 Output Module operates in a temperature range from 0 to 60 degrees Celsius and it can be stored in a temperature range from -40 to 85 degrees Celsius.
