IC694DNM200 is a GE Fanuc manufactured DeviceNet Master Module for the RX3i series. The single-slot module enables the CPU to send and receive information over the DeviceNet network. It can server as a master to 63 “slaves” on the network. Moreover, it can also be configured to act as a slave to another master module located on the bus. The module can be installed on any I/O slot in the RX3i or 90-30 series backplane. It is compatible with any CPU in the 90-30 series as well as PACSystems Rx3i CPU model IC695CPU310 release 3.5 and later. It is not compatible with VersaPro or LogicMaster programming software or the 90-30 series handheld programmer IC693PRG300. The IC694DNM200 master module is compatible with any CPU in the 90-30 series with exception of IC693CPU321 or IC693CPU340 release 8.0 and later firmware.
The IC694DNM200 runs on DeviceNet protocol and 5 VDC with a current of 450mA. It supports baud rates of 125K, 250K, and 500K of the DeviceNet network. On the master module, be sure to locate 3 LEDs that display communication and operating status. They are labeled Net Power, Mod Status and Net Status. Directly below the LEDs is the sSerial port RS-232 used for connecting the master module to a PC during firmware updates. Devices are connected to the trunk cable or to drop lines, which are joined to the trunk cable with taps. Taps are mountable on panels or junction boxes. Recommended module storage ranges from -40oC to 85oC with operating temperatures of between of 0oC and 60oC.
